Report on Event

On Monday, September 29, 2025, we held the inaugural returnee reporting session for the “Japan–UK SYNERGY” joint research program, in collaboration with Imperial College London (ICL) and the University of Cambridge (Cambridge), which was selected under JST’s FY2024 Japan–UK Collaborative Call.

This session provided a valuable opportunity to hear reports from the first cohort of three researchers dispatched in the first half of 2025 and to further foster academic exchange and collaboration between Japan and the UK.

The event was attended by 20 participants, including Prof. Takinoue, Principal Investigator for the Japanese side of the program, as well as Co-Principal Investigators, interested students, early-career researchers, and administrative staff.

The session was conducted in a congenial atmosphere over lunch, facilitating open and constructive dialogue through Q&A discussions.
